There are a few things you definitely want to avoid doing when creating a study schedule for yourself.

First of all, don't try to cram too much into one day. Remember that there's nothing magical about studying on one particular day of the week. Even, at one certain time per day. To be exact, that it's perfectly fine to spend more time on a topic that you're struggling.

Along with or less time on a topic that's going well. If you're able to get through everything you need to in one day, great!

But if things don't go as planned and you don't finish in one day, just move on to the next day and pick up where you left off.

Also, don’t set yourself up for failure by creating a schedule that’s too strict or unrealistic. If your schedule says “Study for LSAT Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm”.

But, then it turns out you have an important meeting at work at 2pm on Friday (or if your morning is filled with multiple phone calls). It’s perfectly fine if you have to skip studying that day in order to take care of your responsibilities.

Finally, if you have to miss a scheduled study session, don’t feel guilty about it. Just move on to the next day and try not to let it throw you off track.
