It is a universal fact that books are knowledge. Books are in fact a technology invented through the introduction of scripture by ancient humans. We sometimes take the invention of scripture for granted, as almost everyone in most modern societies is literate. The literacy rate in Singapore was 97.2% in 2017, which means that only three out of a hundred people on average are illiterate in Singapore.
