Advantages and Disadvantages of Rapid eLearning

Rapid eLearning is a process that allows for the delivery of education content to a group of learners at the same time. In this process, there is the need for continuous updating of the educational content.

It has a lot of benefits to the learners. In this article, we will look at their advantages as well as their disadvantages.

Advantages

A good eLearning development platform can significantly reduce the cost of development and production. It also provides an easy-to-use environment for creating learning materials.

Rapid eLearning is very flexible and allows for changing the structure, style, content, look and feel of the course at any time. This is a major advantage over other methods of training where you have to create and test a training material before you deliver it to learners.

In case you need to change something in the course after you have delivered it, you have to create another version of the training material. This is not always possible sometimes (for example, when dealing with people who from different areas).

Another disadvantage of traditional training is that even if you are going to change something in the training material later on, this will require more effort on your part. eLearning provides immediate feedback on how well learners are doing. It can also show how long they take to complete different tasks or tests.

You can use this information for further optimization of eLearning courses. This feedback is very important for identifying weaknesses in an eLearning course that need additional work or removal altogether from future versions of the course.

People from all over the world can use an online eLearning course. They can access the learning materials at any time and from any place where there is an Internet connection.

Rapid eLearning also makes it possible to create highly interactive courses with the use of various multimedia content (images, audio, video, text). This allows for better engagement of learners in the learning process.

Disadvantages

A disadvantage of rapid eLearning is that it may require additional costs in order to create an engaging and effective eLearning course. You may need to hire a professional writer or video producer who will be able to develop high-quality content for your course.

However, even if you have to pay more money for your course, it will still be cheaper than using traditional training methods such as classroom training or sending employees on training courses.

It is also possible that creating your own rapid eLearning course will help you save money by reducing the number of employees that need to attend traditional training courses.

This is especially true if the company provides learning materials online instead of paying for employees’ attendance at regular training sessions (in other words, replacing regular training with online rapid eLearning). This can save your company thousands of dollars per year if you have a large number of employees.

One of the disadvantages of rapid eLearning is that it requires a lot of work. In order to create a high-quality eLearning course, you need to know how to use the development platform, have knowledge about different design principles and principles of good writing.

This is not something that everyone can do on their own. In most cases, you will need to hire a professional eLearning designer or writer who will be able to create the course for you.

Another disadvantage of rapid eLearning is that it may not be as effective as traditional training. This is especially true if the learning materials are not well-designed and developed by a professional.
