A bowl of rice is a great staple for many people. Because of some student status, however, many people in Singapore do not have a bowl of rice for lunch every day. A good student life is also important to our future, so it is important to make sure that students eat healthily. They should have some meal choices at school, so that they can eat a nutritious lunch. Is there a free lunch program in Singapore? Do Singaporean kids get free lunches at school? Yes, there is a free lunch program in Singapore for needy students from lower income families. Eligible students can get a lunch from a free lunch program . Especially, for those who attend government schools or childcare centers under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). However, there are conditions for this program: i) The household income of the parents must not exceed $1,900 per month. ii) All siblings attending primary/pre-school education must be in the program. iii) the child must in a government school enrollment. Note: In Singapore, international schools are private property and haven't funded by the government. Also, International schools do not offer subsidized lunch programs for students. If you plan to send your child to an international school, you will have to pay for their lunches. Also, keep in mind that food waste might be an issue in Singapore. Because of that, it is important to encourage students to be mindful of their food choices.
