7 steps towards rapid eLearning
Step 1: Get Organized
There are many things that you need to consider before you even begin the process of creating your course. Some of these include:
Who is your audience?
What are their learning styles?
What is the best way to reach them?
What type of course do you want to create?
Who will be creating the course?
Once you have answered these questions, you can start planning your course. This step is important because it will set the stage for everything else that you do.
Once you have a solid plan, it will be much easier to move forward with the rest of your eLearning journey.
Step 2: Create Your Content Strategy and Scope Your Course
After you have answered all of the questions in step one, it’s time to create your content strategy and scope your course. There are several things that you need to consider before diving into this step:
Know Your Audience
One of the most important things that we talked about in step one was knowing who your audience is. The best way to do this is by creating a persona for each of your students.
Personas are basically characters that represent real people who are taking your course. You can use this character as a template for developing all of your content so that it speaks directly to their needs and interests.
Step 3: Develop a Storyboard
Once you have a good idea of who your audience is, it’s time to develop a storyboard. A storyboard is basically an outline of the content that you want to cover in your course.
This is the first step towards developing your course because it allows you to see the big picture. This will help you determine what topics you want to cover and how they should be structured.
You can also use this as a blueprint for creating your content in step four.
Step 4: Create Your Content
Now that you have a solid idea of what you want to cover in your course, it’s time to actually create it! There are several things that you need to consider when writing your content:
Know Your Learning Style
Before diving into writing your content, take some time to learn about learning styles. These are basically the different ways that people learn best and include visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles.
The easiest way to figure out which one applies best for each student is by using the VAK model.
Step 5: Develop Your Storyboard
Once you have finished creating your content, it’s time to develop your storyboard. This is the step where you put all of your content together and figure out how it will flow from one point to the next.

Step 6: Design Your Course
Now that you have created your content and developed a storyboard, it’s time to design your course! This is one of the most exciting steps because it allows you to see all of the hard work that you have done come together into one final product.
But this doesn’t mean that this step is easy because there are several things that you need to consider:

Both platforms are great options for creating engaging eLearning courses. Choose the best option based on what works best for your needs.
Step 7: Publish Your Course!
The final step is to publish your course! You can do this by creating a video or PDF that you can then share with your students.
There are several ways that you can do this, including uploading it to a site like YouTube or Vimeo or even uploading it to your own website. If you want something more professional, we recommend using an eLearning platform like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
