How stressed are students across Asia?

The students’ survey is an annual study where students across Asia rated their stress levels out of 10.

The survey found that students are more stressed every year:

The stress rating of students in Singapore increased from 6.8 in 2016 to 7.3 in 2017.

Students in Malaysia are more stressed too. Their stress level also increased from 6.9 in 2016 to 7.3 in 2017.

Students in Indonesia, Philippines, India and Sri Lanka are also more stressed.

The stress rating of students in Indonesia increased from 6.7 in 2016 to 7.3 in 2017.

The stress rating of students in the Philippines increased from 6.9 in 2016 to 7.2 in 2017.

The stress rating of students in India increased from 6.7 in 2016 to 7 in 2017.

The stress rating of students in Sri Lanka increased from 6.6 in 2016 to 6.9 in 2017.

The average stress rating of students in Asia is 6.9.

Methodology:

Between May and July 2017, The Asia Foundation conducted a survey among 4,000 students in nine countries across Asia. The sample of students was randomly selected to represent a cross-section of students in each country.
