The best universities in Malaysia are located in Kuala Lumpur, a sprawling metropolis home to more than 1.6 million people. Unsurprisingly, there are many great universities in Kuala Lumpur for international students.

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and most important city in Malaysia. It has a population of approximately 1.6 million people, which makes it one of the largest cities in Southeast Asia and the 6th largest city in the world!

Universities and colleges there include Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Multimedia University (MMU) and Sunway University (SU).

The University of Malaya (UM) is the oldest university in Malaysia, established in 1905. The campus is located in Kuala Lumpur and is home to over 44,000 students.

The country's largest university, Universiti Malaya (UM), has a population of over 49,000 students and is located just outside of Kuala Lumpur on the beautiful campus of Bukit Nanas.

Its neighbour, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), hosts over 45,000 students on its campuses in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

The University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) was established in the year 1967. It has campuses throughout the country, including in Kuala Lumpur. Sunway University and Multimedia University (MMU) are also located in Kuala Lumpur.

International Islamic University Malaysia is a private university with campuses throughout Malaysia. It has a population of over 30,000 students and offers degrees in medicine, law, engineering, education, sciences, and business.
