The University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) was established in the year 1967. It has campuses throughout the country, including in Kuala Lumpur. Sunway University and Multimedia University (MMU) are also located in Kuala Lumpur.

International Islamic University Malaysia is a private university with campuses throughout Malaysia. It has a population of over 30,000 students and offers degrees in medicine, law, engineering, education, sciences, and business.
